Diamond Plate is a Texas country and Southern rock band built around the kind of live show that still matters — tight playing, real songs, and a sound that fills the room.

 

Founded by Dennis Phillips, the band’s roots run back to the original 2013 Diamond Plate formation. Over time, the lineup has shifted through different projects and names, but the music stayed consistent: Texas-first, road-tested, and made for stages across Texas.

In 2013, members connected to the original Diamond Plate circle — including Jim Ragsdale and David Bienke — recorded material that would later be released as the Redneck Jedi CD Freedom. Many of those songs were first presented live at the historic old theater in Bryan, Texas, giving the project an early reputation for originals with bite and authenticity.

Today’s Diamond Plate lineup pulls experience from Redneck Jedi, Patriot Road, and the original Diamond Plate foundation.
